Hello Lovely Readers,
Forward this along to those wonderfully willing men who may be needing some hints before they hit the stores…
The Christmas season is upon us, and the shops are full of men madly searching for that perfect gift that says, “I love you,” “I am grateful to have you in my life” or, at the very least, “I’m not really as thoughtless as your mother thinks.”
But what to buy? The choices are endless, which oddly makes it more difficult somehow. A nice sweater? Maybe. Gloves? Okay. A blender? Not unless it comes free with a diamond tennis bracelet.
This year, my Sexy Christmas Gift List is all about creating an experience to share with her, whether it’s one night of romance or a long weekend getaway. Getting her the gift that says, “I want to spend time with you and only you” is sure to put a smile on her face (and yours)!
Here are the components of a romantic experience
- Soft Lighting – candles are a must, but I’ve found one that serves double duty…
“Our coveted candles engage all the senses. Light AFTERGLOW to enjoy its scent, then drizzle the warm oil on the skin as the perfect start to an unforgettable massage.”
- Music – add some sultry tunes…
Make her a playlist of her favourites to set the mood. If you’re not sure where to start, here are a few to get you started:
Teardrop by Massive Attack
Angel by Massive Attack
Sadeness by Enigma
Return to Innocence by Enigma
Stay with Me by Sam Smith
- Luxury Plush/Faux Fur Blanket – to go with the massage oil…
- Lingerie – but of course…
Buying lingerie she’ll actually wear can be tricky. My advice: get something that she’ll feel sexy in. This year, Victoria Secret has a gorgeous line called Satin Indulgence that I highly recommend. They’ll feel wonderful on and suit any woman, whether modest or bold.
- A Sexy Novel from the Full Hearts Series
Break in Two – This season’s must have novel to set the mood. With over 1900 reviews on Amazon.com and a 4.5/5 star rating overall, it’s clear that women (and men) are LOVING this book. One reader emailed me that her husband says “it’s the best book he’s never read.”
- A Gift Set of Luxurious Body Lotions & Shower Oils
Sabon has some lovely choices.
Try the gifts on this list or plan your own just-for-her experience to make it a holiday to remember.
And here’s one more tip from someone who knows:
She’s probably bone-tired from all the running errands, shopping, baking, cooking, wrapping, planning and hosting she’s been trying to do in addition to everything else on her to-do list. Now’s the time to bring your A-game. Help out as much as you can with the festive duties by offering to do some of the shopping, help wrap presents, cook/bring home supper, take over child care duties, etc. Finally, give her time to indulge and unwind. Draw her a hot bath, light some candles, pour her a glass of champagne and leave a little note by the tub that says her massage will be waiting.
All the best this holiday season,
