Celebrating Women

Dear Reader,

I hope this finds you and yours happy and well. Last night, I had the honour of reading at “You Can’t Keep a Good Woman Down”, a film festival to celebrate International Women’s Day. Spending an evening surrounded by creative, intelligent, courageous women was an absolute inspiration.

We watched Suffragette, a heart-wrenching and important film about the women’s suffrage moment in England in the early twentieth century. It really drove home for me how fortunate we are to be living in modern times, and it made me feel extremely grateful for those who have gone before and fought the good fight.

We still have a long journey ahead to create a culture of respect, equality, and safety for women everywhere, but we are most definitely better off than we once were.

As always, I wish you love and happiness,
